The California Winter League is a developmental showcase league aimed at getting players signed to pro contracts before spring training begins each season. Players come to Palm Springs, CA January 11 – February 8th and play 5–6 games per week during that time. All of the managers and coaches who work with CWL players every day are current MLB scouts and managers from the four MLB Partner Leagues who are looking to sign players for their organizations. Over the last 17 years, over 950 players have signed professional contracts at all levels. The CWL is also the Official Winter League of the Frontier League.
